Counting
How do I count?
Tap anywhere on a counter card to add to it. The whole card is a button, so you can count without looking at the screen.
How do I subtract?
Tap the small − button in the corner of a counter, or long-press the counter and choose Subtract.
You can also turn on Swipe to Subtract in Settings → Gestures, then swipe down on a counter to subtract.
Can a tap add more than one?
Yes. Long-press a counter, choose Edit Counter and pick a step: +1, +2, +5, +10 or +100. Taps add the step and the − button subtracts it.
How do goals work?
Long-press a counter, choose Edit Counter and set a target under Goal. The counter fills up as you get closer, and the card lights up when you reach it. Choose Off to remove the goal.
Can I type a value directly?
Yes. In Edit Counter, tap the number at the top and type any value, including negative numbers.
Can the counter go negative?
Yes. Counters have no lower or upper limit.
Resetting
How do I reset counters?
Tap the reset button in the top-left corner to reset all counters. If any counter has a name, step or goal, you can choose to reset only the numbers or the numbers together with those settings.
To reset a single counter, long-press it and choose Reset, or use Reset Counter in the editor.
I reset by mistake. Can I undo it?
Yes. After any reset an Undo button appears at the top of the screen for a few seconds. Tap it to bring everything back.
Counter Pro
What does Counter Pro include?
Counter Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It unlocks up to four counters at once with a running total, custom names for counters, all seven color themes, and keeping the screen awake while counting.
How do I use several counters?
With Counter Pro, open Settings and choose 1 to 4 counters under Counters. Each counter has its own value, name, step and goal.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchase on the Counter Pro card. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
General
Are my counts saved?
Yes. Everything is saved automatically on your device and restored when you open the app again.
Does Counter need an internet connection?
No. Counter works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed to buy or restore Counter Pro.
Can I turn off vibration or turn on sound?
Yes. Open Settings and use the Haptics and Sound switches under Feedback.
Is Counter accessible?
Yes. Counters work with VoiceOver: swipe up or down to adjust, and use the actions menu to subtract, edit or reset. With Reduce Motion on, the app turns off its decorative animations.
What are the requirements?
Counter runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later.
