This Privacy Policy explains how Five in Row – Neon Gomoku (shown as "5 in Row" on your Home Screen), an iOS and iPadOS game developed by Volodymyr Sichka ("we", "us" or "our"), handles information when you use the app. By using Five in Row, you agree to the practices described here.
1Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. Five in Row does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or any other personal data.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or notifications, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
2Data stored on your device
To make the game work, the app keeps the following information in its private storage on your device:
- game statistics – wins, losses and draws for each AI level;
- progress – XP, level, win streaks and unlocked achievements;
- settings – sound effects, haptics, tactical alerts and your last-used game setup;
- the number of free games played today and whether Premium is active.
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. It is not synced between your devices, but it may be included in your iCloud or computer backups, which are controlled by you and your Apple Account. Deleting the app removes all of this data from your device.
3Purchases and subscriptions
Five in Row offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Premium, that removes the daily game limit and unlocks unlimited undos and hints. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, name or email address.
To unlock Premium, the app uses Apple's StoreKit to check whether your Apple Account has an active subscription. This check happens between your device and Apple. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Apple's handling of this information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
4Crash reports and diagnostics
The app contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to find and fix problems. You can turn this sharing off at any time in the same place.
5Advertising, tracking and third parties
Five in Row shows no ads and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use advertising, analytics or social-media SDKs, and we do not sell, rent or share any information with third parties.
6Internet connection
The game works fully offline. The only network communication is between your device and Apple's App Store when you view, buy or restore Premium, or when the app checks your subscription status. Links to this policy or Apple's Terms of Use open in your web browser.
7Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this only to answer you, do not add you to any mailing list, and delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed.
8Children's privacy
Five in Row is suitable for all ages. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children.
9Your choices and rights
Since we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. You are in full control of the data on your device: you can turn sound, haptics and tactical alerts on or off in the app's Settings, and delete all game data by deleting the app. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, just let us know.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when the app changes or when the law requires it. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time.
