Everyone at the table shares one location — except the spy.
Answers to common questions are below.
One phone goes round the table. Each player looks at their card in private: everyone sees the same location, and the spy sees only the word SPY. Then you question each other in a circle — the table tries to expose the spy, the spy tries to work out where everybody is. The app deals the cards; the arguing is up to you.
No. One device, passed around, no internet, no accounts, nothing to set up. It works on a train, in a cabin, or on a plane in airplane mode.
From 3 players — up to 4 free, and up to 50 with Premium. No more than a third of the table can be spies: one spy up to 5 players, two from 6, three from 9, and so on. That always leaves enough people who know the location for the questioning to lead somewhere.
The Basic pack and tables of up to 4 players are free, with no time limit and no ads. The one-time Premium purchase unlocks every other location pack — including packs added in future updates — and raises the table to 50 players.
Open the Premium screen and tap Restore purchases. The unlock is tied to your Apple Account, so it comes back on any device signed in with it.
No. A location that has just been used is held back for the next nine rounds, so ten games in a row always give the table ten different places.
Yes. Tap the list icon on the right of any pack to read every location it contains — useful for checking that all the words will be familiar to your table.
Yes. The game is available in English, German, French, Ukrainian, Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese, locations included. By default it follows your phone's language (if supported); you can change it any time in Settings.
Both are in Settings and can be switched off independently. Handy when you are playing somewhere quiet — or when someone is trying to guess the spy by the sound of the flip.
No. Players, spies, packs and language are stored on each device separately, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. Only the Premium purchase follows your Apple Account.
